Yudum Egemden Olive Oils won Gold Awards at Turkey’s prestigious Crescent and Star Packaging Competition, in Luxury Packaging for glass bottles specially designed and produced as part of the The Bounty of the Aegean, the Work of Women Project, and in the Food Category, with a series of gourmet bottles designed by Ümit Ünal.
Turkey's biggest cooking oil producer Savola Foods continues to prove its success by winning awards. Yudum Egemden received two ‘Gold Awards’ at the Crescent and Star Packaging Competition. Bottles designed by women from Ayvalık won a Gold Award in the Luxury Packaging Category, and a series of gourmet glass bottles designed by Ümit Ünal won a Gold Award in the Food Category.
The 8th Crescent and Star Packaging Competition was organized by the Packaging Manufacturers Association (PMA) and was held at the Raffles Istanbul Hotel. 210 products were evaluated in 11 different categories and 113 products received awards. Yudum Egemden’s gourmet series, which won Gold Awards in the Luxury Packaging and Food Categories, was also deemed worthy of Platinum, Silver and Gold awards at the most prestigious competition in Europe, the London International Olive Oil Competition.
Women turn their dreams into works of art
In The Bounty of the Aegean, the Work of Women project, more than 40 women from Ayvalık created specially designed glass bottles reflecting the colorful worlds of their dreams. Each figure which ornaments the Yudum Egemden bottles is inspired by Ayvalık and contains symbols identified with the region.
